- Operation Frontline Cooking Demos

- Each of these fun cooking classes will feature an easy, tasty, low cost and healthy recipe using seasonal produce. There will be a sample-size–tasting of the recipe. Learn tipss for how to cook for one, how to cook vegetables in the microwave (and make them taste good) and other topics. The classes will be lead by a local chef volunteer. These classes are designed for everyone, including people with Diabetes. Please call the Central Area Senior Center (CASC) @ 206-726-4926 to register. Space is limited.

The Healthy Aging Partnerhsip's (HAP) Aging at Home Initiative can help your community! Please encourage teams of 2-5 older adults in your community to participate by attending a free one-day Aging at Home workshop.
Participants will learn about Aging at Home from experts in the areas of healthy living, emergency preparedness, lifelong learning, and civic engagement/volunteerism. Workshop participants will also learn about grant funding available for teams of older adults that want to make Aging at Home a reality in their own communities. After the workshop, teams of older adults will have the an opportunity to apply for up to $5,000 to implement an Aging at Home project that meets their community's needs.
