The 2019 theme is “resilience”—a process through which individuals demonstrate positive adaptation despite challenges and changes, such as a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or other dementia. This conference is a full-day opportunity to immerse yourself in learning, connecting, growing, and discovery.

The keynote address “A New Definition of Dementia: A shift in the way a person experiences the world.” will be given by Dr. G. Allen Power, a geriatrician, author, educator, and musician. Enjoy a wide variety of workshops as well as 50+ exhibitors in the conference expo hall.

A sample of our 14 workshops:

  • Conflict Resolution in Families: How Do We Calm the Troubled Waters? (for professionals)
  • Dementia and Down Syndrome
  • Dementia Stigma: Public and Personal
  • If It’s Not Alzheimer’s, What Is It?
  • More Than Medication: Non-Pharmacological Treatment of Memory Loss
  • Shining a Light on Younger-Onset Dementia
  • What’s Happening in Alzheimer’s Research?
