The Age Wave is here and it is both an opportunity and a challenge.  It is a wonderful thing that people can now expect to live 20 to 30 years beyond the traditional retirement age of 65.  And, the reality is that this growing aging population is putting pressure on state-funded services and infrastructure.

Come to the Age Wave Forum to hear about key issues and implications for our aging demographic. Hear from legislative candidates on their proposals and ideas to meet the challenges of the Age Wave.

The Age Wave Coalition represents a broad range of organizations that support the Age Wave agenda, including King County Aging & Disability Services Advisory Council, AARP Washington, Washington State Senior Citizens’ Lobby, League of Women Voters of Seattle-King County, Washington Association of Area Agencies on Aging, King County and the City of Seattle, SHAG, PSARA, and Kona Kai Coffee Company.

If you can’t make it to this event, make sure to mail in your ballots.  Americans 50 and better are the nation’s most powerful voting bloc.  And there’s only one way politicians will work on the issues that really matter to us.  We have to make them do it.  Vote!
